Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Fixed Assets professional with a strong background in asset management, accounting, and reporting. The role involves overseeing the complete lifecycle of fixed assets—from acquisition to disposal—while ensuring compliance with IAS 16 and organizational policies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the Oracle Fixed Assets module, asset tagging, tracking, and management across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the Fixed Assets module in Oracle, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
- Record and monitor projects under construction, including capitalization of borrowing costs in compliance with IAS 16.
- Create and record assets upon project completion, including equipment and building assets.
- Maintain and update a comprehensive Fixed Assets Register (FAR) across multiple locations.
- Conduct asset tagging and ensure proper documentation for all assets.
- Oversee and coordinate asset tracking processes, including movements from warehouses to operational sites and between locations.
- Perform periodic physical verification of assets in alignment with company policy.
- Prepare fixed asset reports for internal stakeholders and auditors.
- Collaborate with finance, projects, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth asset management processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of IAS 16 and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Proven experience in managing fixed assets across multiple locations.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Fixed Assets module.
- Strong understanding of project accounting and capitalization principles.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
