About the Role
This is a remote-first position that will transition to an in-office role within the next few weeks. Candidates must be willing and able to work on-site once the office phase begins.
You will architect systems end-to-end, own features from concept to production, collaborate with teammates, and step up proactively when the situation calls for it.
What You'll Do
- Build full-stack features using React, FastAPI, Node.js, and modern tooling
- Architect backend services, APIs, and microservices for scale and reliability
- Create clean, reusable, performant React components
- Design database schemas, write efficient queries, and work across PostgreSQL and NoSQL
- Collaborate closely with the engineering and product team on planning, design, and execution
- Take initiative on improvements, technical decisions, and problem-solving
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning
- Strengthen team culture through communication, leadership, and accountability
What We're Looking For
Must-Have Skills:
- 5+ years professional full-stack development experience
- React (hooks, context, component architecture)
- FastAPI or similar Python frameworks
- Node.js and TypeScript experience
- Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL
- Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis, etc.)
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong initiative able to identify problems, propose solutions, and execute
- Excellent communication skills
Bonus Points:
- Experience with microservices, queues, or event-driven architectures
- AWS/GCP/Azure experience
- Containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
- Startup or fast-paced environment background
- Experience building real-time or AI-driven systems
