Senior Accountant – Investment Banking & Fund Accounting
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee corporate accounting, financial reporting, and fund-level accounting for our client in the investment banking and financial services sector. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in IFRS, financial analysis, and hands-on experience in NAV calculation, fund operations, and investor reporting.
Responsibilities:
Corporate Accounting
- Manage daily accounting operations, general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Prepare financial statements and reports in line with IFRS.
- Handle AP/AR, tax compliance, and month-end/quarter-end closing.
- Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes.
Fund Accounting
- Perform NAV calculations and maintain accurate fund books.
- Handle investment accounting: subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls & distributions.
- Prepare investor reports, capital account statements, and fund performance summaries.
- Coordinate with fund administrators, custodians, auditors, and asset managers.
- Ensure timely valuation, expense accruals, and fee calculations for funds.
Financial Analysis & Leadership
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and conduct variance analysis.
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making.
- Supervise accounting staff and manage external audits.
- Oversee cash flow, banking operations, and fund allocations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance; CA/CPA preferred.
- 10–15 years of experience, with mandatory fund accounting exposure.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, NAV calculation, investor reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Advanced Excel and accounting software proficiency.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
Package – AED 12000 – AED 20000/month
