Job Summary
The Senior Geophysicist Manager is responsible for leading geophysical studies and seismic interpretation activities to support hydrocarbon exploration, appraisal, and field development. The role provides technical leadership for prospect generation, reservoir characterization, seismic acquisition and processing, while managing a multidisciplinary geoscience team.
Key Responsibilities;
- Lead interpretation of 2D, 3D, and 4D seismic data.
- Identify and mature exploration prospects and drilling opportunities.
- Conduct seismic attribute analysis, AVO, inversion, and reservoir characterization studies.
- Support exploration, appraisal, and development drilling programs.
- Manage seismic acquisition, processing, and reprocessing projects.
- Integrate geophysical, geological, petrophysical, and reservoir data.
- Lead and mentor geophysicists and geoscientists.
- Participate in reserves evaluation, field development planning, and asset evaluations.
- Provide technical recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geophysics, Geology, or Earth Sciences.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of upstream oil & gas experience.
- Proven experience in exploration and development projects.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
