Job Description

Consultation and Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients existing facility management practices, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to improve efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance overall performance.

Strategic Planning: Support in the identification and development of long-term facility management strategies aligned with both DAB-FMC and client business objectives. This includes but is not limited to, outlining critical milestones, setting performance indicators, and creating action plans to meet targets effectively.

Process Optimization: Identify and recommend improvements to existing facility management processes, such as but not limited to, maintenance planning, asset and resource allocation, and sustainability initiatives. Streamline workflows to maximize productivity, minimize downtime, and deliver value to client.

Vendor and Contractor Management: Oversee the selection, negotiation, and contracting of third-party vendors and contractors to ensure the provision of quality services. Foster and cultivate strong supplier relationships, manage contracts, and monitor performance to ensure seamless service delivery.

Compliance and Risk Management: Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry best practice to ensure client compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Mitigate risks by proactively identifying potential issues and implementing appropriate protocols and contingency plans.

Team Collaboration: Be an active part of and provide SME (Subject Matter Expert) input and guidance to peer group, management and client alike. Fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous development.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert advice on electrical infrastructure, systems, and assets, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., SBC, NFPA, BS, IEC).

Review design, installation, and maintenance practices, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.

Reviewing and developing technical proposals and FM solutions that lead to high standards services

Support clients in developing and implementing hard FM strategies, with a focus on lifecycle cost optimization and reliability.

Develop continuous improvement plans and best practice strategies to ensure a consistently high level of service delivery.

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, contingency plans, emergency response procedures, preventive maintenance programs and all technical documentation.

Conduct condition surveys, asset verification, and technical audits, delivering clear recommendations.

Ensure statutory, regulatory, and safety compliance across electrical and associated mechanical systems.

Develop risk registers and mitigation plans to support business continuity and resilience.

Monitor service provider performance against KPIs and SLAs, escalating and recommending corrective actions where necessary.

Evaluate contractor proposals, maintenance plans (SFG20), and O&M documentation for suitability and compliance.

Minimum of 10 years experience in facilities management, building services, or consultancy, with strong electrical engineering bias.

Proven track record in delivering technical audits, condition surveys, and compliance reviews across large estates or complex facilities.

Knowledge of asset lifecycle management, capital planning, and energy efficiency strategies.

Demonstrated ability to manage service providers, evaluate performance against KPIs/SLAs, and enforce contractual obligations.

Strong project management abilities, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.

Comprehensive knowledge of facility management practices such as SFG20, NFPA, CIBSE, etc., industry trends and applicable regulations.

Proficiency in using facility management software and other relevant tools.

Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.

Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and presenting technical findings in a clear and professional way.
