Job Description
Senior HCL DX Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise digital experience solutions on HCL Digital Experience (DX). The role focuses on Web Content Management (WCM), including Presentation Templates, Authoring Templates, reusable components, personalization, content workflows, performance optimization, and enterprise integrations. The position supports the full development lifecycle while ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing digital platforms through modern web technologies, API integrations, and best development practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, configure, and maintain digital solutions on HCL Digital Experience including WCM components, Presentation Templates, Authoring Templates, content structures, and personalization elements.
- Optimize server-side rendering performance by analyzing and refactoring Presentation Templates, reducing inefficient rendering logic, improving cache utilization, and streamlining WCM component execution.
- Design and implement reusable WCM components, shared templates, and standardized architectural patterns to improve scalability, maintainability, and component reuse across enterprise digital platforms.
- Configure and enhance WCM Authoring Templates and content workflows to improve usability for business users and reduce content publishing effort and time-to-publish.
- Support the full lifecycle of digital experience development including requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX team, business stakeholders, infrastructure teams, and application developers to deliver scalable and integrated digital solutions.
- Implement and maintain responsive user interface components and front-end integrations within the HCL DX framework using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues related to WCM rendering, content delivery, template behavior, caching, personalization, and application performance.
- Participate in platform modernization and continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize architecture, standardize development practices, and improve operational efficiency.
- Support integrations between HCL Digital Experience and enterprise systems, APIs, authentication services, and third-party platforms.
- Maintain technical documentation related to WCM architecture, reusable components, development standards, and implementation guidelines.
Technical Skills:
- Strong experience with HCL Digital Experience development and Web Content Management (WCM).
- Experience developing and maintaining Presentation Templates, Authoring Templates, Components, Menus, and Personalization elements.
- Knowledge of HCL DX rendering lifecycle, caching mechanisms, and performance optimization techniques.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and responsive web development within enterprise portal environments.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Understanding of content management workflows, digital experience architecture, and reusable component design.
- Experience with troubleshooting, debugging, and production support activities in enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with source control systems, deployment processes, and CI/CD practices.
Experience:
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience in HCL Digital Experience (DX) development and Web Content Management (WCM), including the design, development, customization, and support of enterprise digital platforms.
