Responsibilities:
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitors and implements the company's HSE Policies, Programs, and Procedures.
- Responds to employees HSE concerns on a timely manner.
- Participates to increase HSE awareness at all levels within the organization.
- Assists the HSE Officer in the training of personnel in areas of safety, including first aid, CPR, accident prevention and investigation, work place inspections and other matters related to implementing safety.
- Assists staff in emergency preparedness.
- Investigates and reports on complaints of hazardous working conditions to the HSSE Manager.
- Implements good housekeeping standards, including registration and removal of hazardous waste.
- Keeps HSE folders in orderly manner.
- Conducts, as necessary, the safety inspection of any facility.
- Compiles, analyzes, and interprets statistical data related to occupational illnesses and accidents.
- Reports or reviews findings from accident investigations, facilities inspections, or environmental testing.
- Assists project teams in investigation of minor project incidents (Near Miss and First Aid) and ensures proper records are completed and submitted.
- Assumes other duties as may be assigned.
- Conducts site visits/audits.
- Produces reports and statistic compilations.
- Performs other related duties as required.
AUTHORITY/LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides technical guidance to co-workers.
- Directs, coordinates, and evaluates employee's HSE level of awareness and concern.
Requirements:
- BS Engineering and registered as a professional engineer with significant experience of 15 years in Industrial Safety Field.
- Relevant HSE training.
- Has experience in the oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries and has construction safety experience on large projects.
- Membership in a recognized professional safety society such as the Institute of Industrial Safety Officers is desirable.
- Must have thorough knowledge of international safety standards and procedures.
- Must have very good English written and oral communications.
