◆Role Overview:

Our client is a growing alternative investment management firm specializing in hedge fund strategies across global financial markets. As the business continues to expand its investment platform, they are seeking an experienced operations leader to oversee end-to-end fund operations and support business growth. This is a high-impact leadership role offering close collaboration with investment professionals, external service providers, and senior stakeholders while driving operational excellence, governance, and process improvements.

◆Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the end-to-end operational lifecycle of hedge fund activities, ensuring efficient and accurate execution across all operational functions.

• Manage, mentor, and develop the operations team while fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

• Oversee daily trade operations, settlements, and resolve settlement exceptions in a timely manner.

• Supervise fund lifecycle activities including capital subscriptions, redemptions, and cash flow management.

• Manage corporate actions, income processing, and maintain accurate fund and investor records.

• Oversee month-end and year-end operational closing processes to support timely financial reporting.

• Manage and validate daily and monthly Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations and fund accounting activities.

• Ensure the accuracy of valuations, performance reporting, fee calculations, and capital account reconciliations.

• Collaborate closely with prime brokers, custodians, fund administrators, transfer agents, and other external service providers to ensure smooth operational processes.

• Support investor servicing through the preparation and review of investor statements and reporting.

• Partner with portfolio managers and investment teams on operational matters relating to portfolio activities.

• Coordinate regulatory filings, external audits, and compliance-related operational requirements.

• Identify opportunities to improve operational workflows through automation, process enhancement, and operational best practices.

• Lead strategic operational initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

• Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned.

◆Requirements:

[Must Have]

• Extensive experience in hedge fund operations, fund administration, or investment operations within an alternative investment environment.
• Japanese Proficiency for liaising with Japanese speaking counterparts
• Proven leadership experience as a Head of Operations, Operations Manager, COO, or similar senior operational role.
• Strong knowledge of front-to-back hedge fund operations, trade lifecycle management, NAV calculation, fund accounting, capital activities, valuations, and operational risk.
• Experience working with prime brokers, custodians, fund administrators, auditors, and other external service providers.
• Demonstrated people management experience with the ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across investment, finance, and operations functions
