Job Description

About the Role

We are building a new manufacturing capability in KSA to produce high‑precision ceramic components used in high‑efficiency energy recovery devices (ERDs). As a High‑Precision Grinder, you will set up, operate, and optimize precision grinding processes (ID/OD, surface, and form grinding) for advanced ceramics to meet demanding dimensional accuracy and surface integrity requirements. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, HSE, and Operations to achieve first‑pass yield, on‑time delivery, and zero defects in a start‑up environment. The role expects strict adherence to local regulatory requirements and company HSE policies.

Full company details will be disclosed after signing an NDA.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and optimize precision grinding processes (ID/OD, surface, form) for ceramic components.

• Work with CNC grinding equipment; adapt programs as needed.

• Prepare machines, fixtures, and diamond/CBN tooling; execute dry/wet grinding strategies to avoid thermal damage and chipping.

• Perform in‑process checks; adjust feeds, speeds, dressing, and coolant delivery.

• Use precision metrology tools (micrometers, indicators, bore gauges, optical comparators, profilometers; CMM experience is a plus).

• Record inspection data and support SPC/capability studies.

• Follow standardized work, control plans, inspections, and complete required documentation.

• Adhere to ISO 9001 requirements; familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is beneficial.

• Maintain grinder safety, PPE compliance, and a clean, organized workspace.

• Perform routine maintenance, wheel dressing and balancing, and coolant/filtration checks.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Operations teams in a fast‑moving start‑up environment.

Must‑Have Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience in precision Machining or Grinding of ceramics.
  • English language proficiency (spoken and written) for technical communication, training, and documentation; Arabic is a plus.
  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings/GD&T and using precision metrology.
  • Experienced with diamond/CBN wheel selection, dressing, and process optimization to meet tight tolerances and surface finish requirements.
  • Strong commitment to HSE practices and use of required PPE for grinding operations.
  • Comfortable working in a start‑up environment with evolving processes and documentation.

Preferred

  • Demonstrable experience in precision grinding of ceramics or other super‑hard, brittle materials (shop‑floor, hands‑on).
  • Experience with ceramics commonly used in fluid‑handling/sealing applications (e.g., Al₂O₃).
  • Exposure to ISO 9001/14001/45001 systems and audit participation.
  • Familiarity with SPC tools, capability analysis, and problem‑solving methods (RCA/8D).
  • CNC surface/OD/ID grinding programming; experience with automated gaging.
  • Technical diploma or apprenticeship in machining/manufacturing; secondary education acceptable with strong experience.

Working Conditions

• Shop‑floor role with standing, fine motor work, and safe lifting.

• Shift work may be required.

• Visa/work authorization support provided per company policy.

What We Offer

• Opportunity to build a new KSA manufacturing start‑up in a high‑impact energy‑efficiency sector.

• Modern equipment, training, and the chance to shape world‑class ceramic‑grinding capabilities.

• Competitive compensation aligned with KSA market practices.

Interested candidates can apply directly. Full company details will be shared upon signing an NDA.
