Job Summary

Arkema Singapore is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior HR Officer on a 1-year renewable contract to support the day-to-day HR operations at our Jurong Island manufacturing site.

This role focuses on HR Information Systems (MyCareer) administration, employee data management, onboarding coordination, employee benefits administration and HR operational support. You will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of HR records while supporting employee lifecycle processes, internship administration and employee engagement initiatives.

This position is ideal for HR professionals who enjoy working with HR systems, operational excellence and process improvement within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

HR Information System (MyCareer)

  • Administer and maintain the Company's MyCareer Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
  • Create and maintain employee positions, organisational structures and employee records within MyCareer.
  • Process employee lifecycle transactions including new hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes and employee separations.
  • Ensure HR records remain accurate, complete and up to date.
  • Support HRIS testing, system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.

HR Operations & Employee Data Management

  • Maintain the Singapore Site Employee Master List and ensure the accuracy of employee information.
  • Perform regular data validation and reconciliation between HR systems and internal HR records.
  • Prepare HR reports and workforce information for management reporting.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of employee records and HR documentation.

Onboarding Administration

  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new employees.
  • Prepare onboarding documentation and monitor completion of pre-employment requirements.
  • Coordinate orientation schedules and first-day onboarding activities.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.

Employee Benefits Administration

  • Process employee medical claims in accordance with Company policies.
  • Maintain and monitor employees medical flex benefit balances.
  • Issue Insurance Guarantee Letters (GL) where required.
  • Liaise with employees, healthcare providers and insurance administrators regarding employee medical benefits.

Internship Programme Administration

  • Serve as the primary HR point-of-contact for interns at the Singapore Site.
  • Coordinate internship onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Liaise with educational institutions, hiring managers and interns throughout the internship period.
  • Maintain internship records and documentation.

HR Communications & Employee Engagement

  • Prepare and coordinate the monthly HR Newsletter.
  • Support internal HR communications and employee announcements.
  • Coordinate monthly birthday celebrations, including birthday vouchers and birthday cards.
  • Support Recreational Committee (RC) activities and employee engagement initiatives.

HSSE Support

  • Participate as a Fire Warden or member of the Site HSSE Committee, where assigned.
  • Support emergency preparedness activities and promote compliance with Company Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) requirements.

Other Responsibilities

  • Support the Plant Head of HR on HR operational projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support internal and external HR audits.
  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.

Required Competencies and Qualifications

Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related discipline with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in Human Resources, HR Operations or HR Administration.

Preferred Competencies and Qualifications

  • Experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) such as MyCareer, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday or Oracle HCM.
  • Good understanding of HR operations and employee lifecycle administration.
  • Experience maintaining employee records and HR master data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Demonstrates accountability, initiative and a commitment to continuous improvement within a collaborative work environment.
