Position: Senior HR Specialist (Talent Acquisition-Payroll & Personnel)

What We're Looking For

Roles & Responsibilities

  • As a talent acquisition , should be able to empathize with the hiring process as well as deliver on key metrics that have been given to you.
  • Within this role, you will be empowered to give it your best and will be given access to some of the top hiring tools and recruitment channels.
  • We are always looking for new ways to hire and scout talent, along with that, we trust you a lot to be ethical while doing so.
  • Accurately manage and process payroll for staff and crew.
  • Track attendance, shift schedules, staffing logistics, and operational movements through Excel tracking sheets.
  • Support staff contracts, and document verification.
  • Be present on-ground to assist with real-time staffing, HR needs, and operational support during the festival.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, HR, and logistics teams to handle last-minute adjustments and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Prepare detailed staffing and logistics reports for internal use.

Responsibilities

  • Create and build the talent acquisition strategy for the festival; multi-level hiring and people management.
  • Innovate on hiring practices by using new methods or channels. Keep a lookout for talent available in the market and plan accordingly.
  • Motivate and energize GFF team to always be candidate-friendly
  • Monitor market trends in hiring practices and ensure our strategy is in line with the market.
  • Manage all job descriptions out in the market, ensuring they are high quality and accurate.
  • Develop relationships with third-party recruitment agencies and staffing firms and manage the procurement and measurement process.
  • Ability to manage multiple and overlapping processes and projects to completion, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines.
  • 2+ years of experience in HR operations, payroll, or workforce administration.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables and dynamic tracking sheets).
  • Strong ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage shifting priorities in a live event setting.
  • Comfortable working long hours during the festival days, including evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Prior experience supporting events, festivals, or hospitality operations is highly desirable.
  • High attention to detail, professionalism, and a hands-on problem-solving attitude.

Required Skills

  • Must have fluency in English (written and verbal).
  • Proven experience of 7 years minimum in recruitment function.
  • In-depth knowledge of talent systems.
  • Excellent presentation, analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in the use of Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
