About the Role
We are looking for a Senior HR Officer to take full ownership of the HR function across our operations. This is a hands-on senior role reporting directly to the Managing Director, with no direct reports. It suits an experienced HR professional who can operate independently, handle sensitive matters with discretion, and build structure across a multi-division, multi-country business.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Onboarding
- Manage the full recruitment cycle: job descriptions, advertising, screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding
- Prepare employment offer letters and contracts, including bilingual (English/Arabic) documentation where required
- Coordinate visa, work permit, and free zone employment procedures where applicable
HR Policies and Compliance
- Develop, maintain, and enforce HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook
- Ensure compliance with Egyptian labor law and free zone regulations, and support HR matters across our international locations
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and files
Compensation and Performance
- Administer payroll inputs, leave records, and attendance in coordination with Finance
- Support the implementation of KPI-based bonus schemes and performance frameworks across departments and branches
- Assist management in performance reviews, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary procedures
Employee Relations
- Act as the first point of contact for employee queries, grievances, and workplace issues
- Support management in handling resignations, terminations, and end-of-service settlements
- Promote a professional and accountable workplace culture
Reporting
- Provide the Managing Director with regular HR reports covering headcount, turnover, recruitment status, and open issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 7–10 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or standalone HR role
- Applicants must have a proven background strictly in Human Resources (HR) matching the required seniority (7–10 years).
- This position is strictly open to residents of Suez Governorate only.
- Solid knowledge of Egyptian labor law; exposure to free zone regulations or international HR is a strong advantage
- Experience in marine services, shipping, industrial, logistics, or trading environments preferred
- Fluent in Arabic and English, written and spoken
- Strong drafting skills for contracts, letters, and policies in both languages
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
- High level of discretion, integrity, and ability to work independently
