Key Responsibilities
Advanced Diagnostics & Repair:
- Troubleshoot and repair complex HVAC/R failures across split systems, chillers, boilers, rooftop units (RTUs), heat pumps, and ductless systems.
- Diagnose electrical wiring, control boards, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS).
- Recover, recycle, and handle refrigerants in strict compliance with environmental regulations.
Installation & System Overhauls:
- Perform and oversee full system installations, retrofits, and major equipment replacements.
- Fabricate, modify, and connect ductwork, refrigerant piping, electrical connections, and drainage systems.
- Conduct start-ups, system testing, and balancing (TAB) on new equipment to verify peak efficiency.
Preventive Maintenance:
- Execute comprehensive maintenance programs on heavy-duty commercial or industrial HVAC systems.
- Inspect motors, compressors, coils, heat exchangers, and air filtration units to prevent premature failure.
Compliance & Client Relations:
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, OSHA standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Interact professionally with clients, facility managers, and building owners to explain technical issues, offer solutions, and provide cost estimates.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, parts inventory, refrigerant usage logs, and labor hours.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Technology in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or any related field.
- 1 – 3 years of experience in the same field.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of thermodynamic cycles, electrical schematics, and mechanical engineering principles.
- Strong understanding of Building Automation Systems .
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools (multimeters, manifold gauges, leak detectors, psychrometers, combustion analyzers).
