Job Summary

The Senior IT Infrastructure Projects Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing complex IT infrastructure projects from inception to completion. This role involves strategic planning, execution, resource management, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT infrastructure project management, strong technical expertise as well as leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Develop and implement detailed project plans that outline scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Lead the execution of IT infrastructure projects, ensuring they align with all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage with key stakeholders, including IT leadership, business units, and external vendors, to ensure project alignment and support.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management effectively.

Resource and Budget Management

  • Allocate and manage resources, including personnel, hardware, software, and financial budgets, to meet project objectives.
  • Monitor and control project expenditures to ensure projects are delivered within budget constraints.

Risk and Issue Management

  • Identify potential project risks and develop comprehensive mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively manage and resolve project issues to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.

Vendor Coordination

  • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure timely and quality delivery of products and services.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Implement quality assurance processes to ensure all project deliverables meet required standards and performance criteria as contracted .
  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to project teams, ensuring alignment with best practices and industry standards.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Track project performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders and senior management.

Change Management

  • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using formal change management processes and tools.
  • Ensure effective communication and documentation of changes and their impacts.

Post-Implementation Support

  • Oversee the transition of completed projects to operational teams, ensuring adequate support for smooth handover.
  • Address lessons learned .

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure project management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior or leadership role.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud services.
  • Project Management Skills: Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (MS Project, JIRA , VSTS..).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate project teams, with a focus on achieving results.
