Job Summary
The ELV / IT Infrastructure Engineer supervises the installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of ELV and ICT infrastructure for mission-critical data center projects in Qatar.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the installation and integration of ELV and ICT systems
- Review structured cabling, fiber optic, data hall, and network room installations
- Supervise CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and security systems
- Coordinate the integration of ELV systems with BMS and DCIM platforms
- Review drawings, technical specifications, material submittals, method statements, and shop drawings
- Verify compliance with approved designs, project requirements, and ANSI/TIA-942
- Coordinate ELV and ICT interfaces with electrical, mechanical, architectural, security, and data center systems
- Monitor installation quality, progress, safety, and contractor performance
- Identify installation issues and coordinate the required corrective actions
- Supervise testing, commissioning, and system integration activities
- Review testing results, as-built drawings, operation manuals, and handover documentation
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders
Required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field
- Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Specialist, ATS (Mandatory)
- UPDA/MMUP registration in Qatar is preferred
- BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer, RCDD, is preferred
- CCNA or CCNP certification is preferred
- Certified Data Centre Professional, CDCP, is preferred
- Minimum 12 years of overall relevant experience
- Minimum five years of experience on data center projects
- Experience in mission-critical ICT and ELV infrastructure deployment
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling and fiber optic networks
- Experience with data halls, network rooms, and telecommunications spaces
- Experience with CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems
- Knowledge of BMS and DCIM system integration
- Strong knowledge of ANSI/TIA-942 requirements
- Experience reviewing technical documents and supervising contractors
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
