Position Overview
The Senior Import Specialist is responsible for managing end-to-end import operations, ensuring smooth customs clearance, accurate documentation, and on-time delivery while maintaining full regulatory compliance.
What You'll Do
- Manage and resolve all import shipment issues related to customs, transportation, and documentation.
- Prepare, review, and maintain accurate import and shipping documentation.
- Ensure timely processing of international and domestic shipment paperwork.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Logistics, Procurement, Sales) to meet delivery requirements.
- Utilize NAFZA system and relevant software to track shipments and manage import processes.
- Ensure shipments are properly packed, compliant, and delivered on time.
- Review import records, ensure compliance, and support process improvements.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and transport providers to optimize cost and efficiency.
- Support and guide junior import staff on procedures and documentation.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- 58 years of experience in import operations within trade companies.
- Strong knowledge of transportation and customs procedures.
- Hands-on experience with NAFZA system.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in English and MS Office applications.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage shipment documentation accurately.
