Senior Information Technology Engineer

A well-established F&B QSR group operating high-volume restaurants across the Middle East is looking for a Senior IT Engineer to join their busy Dubai team.

1. JOB PURPOSE

The Senior IT Engineer leads and manages all store-level IT operations across the UAE. This

includes POS systems, inventory systems, telephony, networking, integrations, store

hardware, and providing technical leadership to ensure smooth and uninterrupted store operations. The role directly supports Operations, external vendors, ensuring high system uptime and efficient issue resolution.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Store Infrastructure & Hardware Management

1. Ensure 24/7 reliability of all store IT hardware (POS, KDS, Digital Screens, printers,

KDS, routers, switches, firewalls, scanners).

2. Maintain stable LAN, internet, and telephony systems across all stores in UAE.

3. Conduct IT health checks for all stores regularly and take preventive maintenance

steps.

4. Support and maintain RSC, QCC, and Store IT infrastructure.

B. POS, Call Centre & Operational Applications

5. Act as the primary owner for POS operations, Inventory Operations, providing Level

1 support and managing L2/L3 escalations.

6. Lead support for Call Centre systems and coordinate vendor escalations.

7. Coordinate with Website & Mobile App teams to resolve incidents.

8. Monitor and ensure all aggregator and DOD integrations (Talabat, Careem, Noon,

Deliveroo, etc.) run without failures.

C. Store Opening Setup

9. Lead end-to-end IT setup for new store openings, including:

o LAN ,Internet & telephony setup

o POS, KDS and other setup

o Aggregator POS integration activation

o System testingo Completion of IT store opening checklist

D. Training & Store Support

10. Conduct POS & Inventory system training for all store staff.

11. Provide refresher training when new features or updates are deployed.

12. Support store managers and teams with daily operational queries related to POS,

inventory, KDS, networking, and system integrations

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Academic Qualifications

Computer Engineering or Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related

field

MCP / MCSA / CCNA preferred

Experience Requirements

610 years of IT experience, with at least 3+ years in a senior or supervisory role

Strong experience in Restaurant / QSR Industry IT operations

Hands-on POS, KDS, and aggregator integration experience

Strong networking and troubleshooting background

Vendor and AMC management experience

Experience supporting multi-unit, multi-country operations
