Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Baggage Systems

We are currently recruiting for an Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Baggage Systems for our client to be based out of their Dubai office.

Job Purpose:

This role is part of a team that has the responsibility to enhance Operational Technologies Systems (Engineering Systems) across dxb and dwc. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the successful delivery of multiple airport baggage handling, baggage screening and material handling system projects by driving the design, and implementation of ES IT infrastructure in alignment with DA's enterprise technology standards. The role will capture and translate stakeholders new requirements into scope and plan for delivery with BT teams to satisfy the business objectives. The role will be also responsible for developing and documenting the design and other project related requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

The Consultant shall coordinate with respective DA ES and BT SMEs and ensures technology standards and guidelines are followed during the design and implementation. In case of any ambiguity, the Consultant shall inform Senior Manager - BT Infrastructure Technology.

The Consultant shall liaise with Solution Architect and ensure design meets functional & technical requirements.

The Consultant shall liaise with Cyber Security and ensure design meets system compliance & required security controls.

The Consultant shall closely work with the project stakeholders and ensure the requirements are captured, validated, and incorporated into the technical design and delivery scope.

Ensure the solution design aligns with defined functional and technical requirements and liaise with Enterprise Architects to validate compliance with enterprise architecture principles and security controls.

The Consultant shall work closely with the Project Manager and other project stake holders to review planning/ phasing and logistics of all the works.

The Consultant shall coordinate all contractual handover and takeover requirements from contractor to DA as per DA reference documents.

The Consultant shall plan, coordinate and attend all Testing and Commissioning activities with the suppliers and provide approvals on acceptance of the system in line with the agreed SOW and approved design.

The Consultant shall chair a Lessons Learned Project Workshop on completion of delivery, acceptance and handover. Provide a formal Lessons Learned Report following workshop.
