Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Specialist to manage, design, implement, and support enterprise IT infrastructure. The role will be responsible for ensuring the availability, security, performance, and scalability of the organization's infrastructure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud environments.
- Ensure high availability, performance, security, and reliability of infrastructure systems.
- Lead infrastructure upgrade, migration, and transformation projects.
- Manage and support Windows/Linux servers, virtualization platforms, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively identify and resolve technical issues.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure standards, documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Work closely with cybersecurity, network, application, and cloud teams to ensure seamless infrastructure operations.
- Manage vendors and third-party service providers and ensure compliance with agreed SLAs.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior infrastructure team members.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8–12+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management and support.
- Strong experience with enterprise servers, storage, virtualization, cloud infrastructure, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Experience with technologies such as VMware, Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure/AWS, and enterprise storage solutions.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure security and best practices.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, VMware (VCAP/VCP), AWS/Azure, or ITIL are preferred.
- Healthcare or large enterprise environment experience would be an advantage.
