We are building an AI-enabled learning platform for students (Grades 912), covering multiple career pathways and we are looking for a Senior Instructional Designer to play a key role in designing high-quality digital courses, simulations, and project-based learning experiences, and to help set instructional standards across the program.
You will work closely with curriculum leads, content vendors, AI teams, and platform teams to ensure pedagogical quality, consistency, and learner engagement at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the instructional design of digital courses, simulations, and learning pathways
- Translate pathway blueprints and learning outcomes into creator-ready design packs
- Review and quality-assure vendor-developed content
- Design assessments (diagnostic, formative, summative) and rubrics
- Ensure alignment with student grade levels (G912) and learning science principles
- Collaborate with LMS and UX teams
- Mentor junior instructional designers
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 610+ years of experience in instructional design or learning experience design
- Strong portfolio of digital courses and/or simulations
- Experience with instructional design models
- Proven experience working with content vendors or agencies
- Strong assessment and learning outcomes design skills
- Familiarity with LMS platforms and SCORM/xAPI standards
Preferred Skills
- Experience in K-12, higher education, or career readiness programs
- Experience designing scenario-based or simulation learning
- Familiarity with tools such as Articulate, Rise, Captivate, Genially, or H5P
- Experience working in the UAE or regional education context
- Comfort working in fast-paced, large-scale programs
