Job Title: Senior Interior Designer
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Interior Designer to lead the design development and execution of high-quality interior projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating client requirements into innovative, functional, and aesthetically compelling interior solutions while managing projects from concept through completion.
Responsibilities
- Lead interior design projects from concept development to final execution.
- Develop design concepts, mood boards, layouts, material selections, and detailed drawings.
- Prepare and review space planning, furniture layouts, lighting plans, and finishes schedules.
- Coordinate with clients to understand design needs, preferences, and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, vendors, and other consultants to ensure design integrity and execution quality.
- Oversee junior designers, providing guidance, feedback, and design direction.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and samples to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve design-related issues, and ensure adherence to approved designs.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
- Stay up to date with design trends, materials, technologies, and industry best practices.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- 6+ years of professional experience in interior design, with proven leadership on projects.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating high-end residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3Ds Max, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Solid knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and FF&E.
- Strong understanding of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
