About CALDORIO

CALDORIO is an emerging Dubai-based design brand with a vision spanning architecture, interiors and art. We are building our founding team to create distinctive spaces through thoughtful design, material quality and precise detailing.

The Role

We are seeking a creative, technically strong Senior Interior Designer to lead our interior design function and help shape CALDORIO's design identity.

This is a hands-on founding-team role, taking projects from client brief and concept development through detailed design, site coordination and handover. You will work directly with the Managing Director and collaborate with business development, estimating and project delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate client requirements, lifestyle, brand identity and budgets into clear design briefs.

• Develop original concepts, space plans, mood boards, material palettes and client presentations.

• Design residential, commercial, hospitality and retail interiors appropriate to each project's scope.

• Produce and review coordinated drawing packages, including layouts, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, joinery details and finish schedules.

• Select and specify finishes, furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E), lighting and accessories.

• Create or direct 3D models and visualizations that communicate the design accurately.

• Coordinate with MEP, structural, lighting and other specialist consultants to resolve design interfaces.

• Work with the QS/Estimator to align designs with approved budgets while preserving design intent.

• Review supplier samples, material submissions and shop drawings for conformity with the design.

• Attend site meetings and inspections, resolve design queries and support snagging and handover.

• Manage design programmes, deliverables, revisions and client approvals.

• Establish CALDORIO's presentation standards, drawing templates, material library and design review process.

• Guide junior designers, CAD/BIM staff and external visualization partners as the team grows.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or a related discipline.

• Typically 7+ years of relevant experience, including responsibility for leading projects and coordinating design delivery.

• UAE or GCC project experience strongly preferred.

• A strong portfolio demonstrating both creative concepts and completed interiors.

• Proven ability to develop buildable details and comprehensive technical drawing packages.

• Strong understanding of materials, joinery, furniture, lighting and interior construction methods.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant presentation software; capability in SketchUp, Revit or comparable 3D/BIM tools.

• Familiarity with rendering workflows such as Enscape, Lumion, V-Ray or equivalent.

• Awareness of accessibility, fire and life safety, and local approval requirements relevant to interior projects.

• Confident client presentation skills and strong written and spoken English.

• Ability to balance design quality, budgets and deadlines within a growing studio.

What We Are Looking For

A designer with a distinctive creative eye who can also explain how the design will be built. You should be comfortable developing concepts, producing technical information, presenting to clients and coordinating with site teams.
