About the Role
We are seeking a Lead Interior Designer to take ownership of a portfolio of projects, leading design from concept through to delivery. This is a senior leadership role requiring a balance of creative direction, technical expertise, and team management.
You will play a key role in shaping project outcomes, managing client relationships, and driving design standards, while supporting senior leadership in enhancing the overall performance of the interior design division.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of multiple interior design projects from concept to completion
- Define and communicate strong design concepts through mood boards, material palettes, and presentations
- Translate client briefs into innovative, functional, and high-quality design solutions
- Prepare and oversee detailed design packages using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Manage project programmes, deliverables, and timelines in coordination with architectural and consultant teams
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, presenting work and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate with sub-consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution
- Oversee authority submissions, approvals, and compliance with local regulations
- Lead tender processes, including procurement strategy, contractor selection, and technical reviews
- Ensure design intent is maintained throughout all stages of the project
- Mentor and manage junior designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
- Monitor team output, quality standards, and overall project performance
About You:
- 10+ years of experience in interior design, with proven leadership on complex projects
- Strong portfolio demonstrating concept design through to delivery
- Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
- High level of proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Enscape/Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong technical knowledge of materials, detailing, and construction processes
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with client-facing experience
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead design teams
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Fluent in English
