Lead complex interior design projects from initial concept through completion. This role balances creative excellence with strategic project management, client leadership, and team mentorship.
Key Responsibilties
Design & Creative Leadership
- Concept Development: Lead the creation of innovative, functional design concepts, including mood boards, 3D renderings, and material palettes.
- Client Management: Drive consultations to translate client vision into actionable design requirements; act as the primary point of contact.
- FF&E: Oversee the selection, specification, and procurement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
Technical Oversight
- Documentation: Review detailed construction drawings, millwork, and specifications for accuracy and code compliance.
- Contract Administration: Manage site reviews, shop drawing approvals, and RFIs to ensure design intent is maintained during construction.
Project & Team Management
- Project Lifecycle: Own project scope, budgets, and schedules to ensure profitable and timely delivery.
- Mentorship: Supervise and develop junior design staff through constructive feedback and professional guidance.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with architects, engineers, and vendors to ensure seamless project integration.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
- Experience: 810 years of professional experience with a proven portfolio of lead roles.
- Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Core Competencies: Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and FF&E; exceptional presentation and leadership skills.
