Job Purpose:
Responsible for implementing assigned parts of the Internal Audit Office's annual work program, ensuring compliance with company policies, safeguarding assets, and delivering accurate reporting to support informed decision-making.
Areas of Contribution and Responsibilities:
Operational Involvement / Process Administration:
- Receives assigned portion of the annual internal audit program, studies it, and clarifies any ambiguities with direct superior.
- Prepares a monthly work plan covering assigned tasks and obtains approval from direct superior.
- Executes monthly duties according to the approved plan at the head office and branches.
- Coordinates with department or branch managers regarding non-spot-check audits.
- Performs spot-check audits confidentially, following direct superior's instructions.
- Prepares monthly performance and findings reports and discusses them with direct superior.
- Informs the Director of Internal Audit of obstacles and suggests corrective actions.
- Reports any irregular incidents within company premises to direct superior.
- Safeguards and maintains company assets in good condition.
- Undertakes additional internal audit assignments as instructed by direct superior.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Monitors and ensures adherence to risk and compliance requirements to protect company information and control potential threats.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Maintains client relations by following up on inquiries and requests promptly, ensuring high-quality and efficient service.
Report Development & Documentation:
- Provides accurate and updated data for reporting purposes, supporting effective decision-making.
Policies and Procedures:
- Strictly adheres to AICC's policies and procedures to ensure risk-free processes and error-free outcomes.
Communications & Working Relationships:
- Regularly communicates with internal and external parties using proficient written and oral communication to fulfill duties and ensure process efficiency.
Framework, Boundaries, and Decision-Making Authority:
- Job follows standardized routines and practices with general and well-communicated instructions.
- Expected to make routine decisions within scope and consult direct supervision for guidance when necessary.
Role Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- IFCE Certification.
- Advanced courses and certifications in Insurance.
Experience:
- Minimum two years of proven experience for Technical Degree holders.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of insurance industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to coach and develop team participation in goal setting and work standards.
- Strong decision-making skills for problem identification and solution selection.
- Proficient in English (written and spoken).
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Word.
