About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Internal Auditor for an major engineering and construction company in Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities

• Strong expertise in financial, project, and operational audits, with understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction environments.
• Proven experience in auditing complete EPC project lifecycles, covering Engineering, Procurement, Construction and project close-out.
• Strong understanding of project cost control, budgets, cost reports, revenue recognition, variations, claims and change orders.
• Hands-on experience auditing procurement, subcontracting, vendor management, payments and contract compliance.
• Ability to assess alignment between physical project progress, engineering deliverables and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, risk management and audit methodologies, with the ability to identify control weaknesses and risks.
• Ability to understand and review BOQs, MTOs, project schedules, engineering documentation and project cost data.
• Experience in auditing finance, commercial, project management, procurement, construction and operational processes.
• Ability to identify root causes and practical corrective/preventive actions, rather than merely reporting audit findings.
• Strong capability in audit reporting, management presentations and follow-up of corrective action plans to ensure timely closure.

Experience Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field (Engineering qualification or strong EPC project exposure is highly desirable)
• Exp: 10-15 years of internal audit experience within EPC / Oil & Gas or large project-based organizations
• Professional qualification such as CIA, CPA, CISA, ACCA or equivalent is an advantage; exposure to ISO/QMS and compliance frameworks is desirable
