Job Profile Summary:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail‑oriented Senior Accountant – Inventory & Fixed Assets to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for overseeing and managing financial activities related to cost accounting, inventory control, fixed asset accounting, and capital expenditure reporting.

The ideal candidate will work closely with operations, procurement, and project teams to ensure accurate accounting, strong compliance, and reliable financial reporting across all related financial areas.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update standard cost systems, ensuring accurate cost allocation across products and operations.
  • Perform cost variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor inventory transactions and ensure proper recording within the accounting and ERP systems.
  • Reconcile inventory accounts and perform monthly inventory valuation and reporting.
  • Analyze inventory variances, including shrinkage, obsolescence, and write‑offs, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, and disposal accounting.
  • Monitor and account for asset transfers, write‑offs, and impairment assessments.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of fixed asset accounts.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4–6 years of professional experience in accounting or audit environments, with hands‑on exposure to cost accounting, inventory, and fixed assets.
  • Strong understanding of HGB and IFRS, as well as internal control requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting / ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
