Job Description

A prestigious investment holding company based in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Senior Investment Associate to join its investment team.

The company manages a diversified portfolio across private equity, public equity, and yield-generating investments in the MENA region and international markets. This role offers the opportunity to participate in the full investment lifecycle—from identifying and evaluating new opportunities through portfolio management and successful exits.

Key responsibilities
  • Screen and evaluate new investment opportunities across sectors, asset classes, and geographies.
  • Conduct detailed financial, commercial, market, and industry analysis.
  • Build and review financial models, valuations, investment returns, and scenario analyses.
  • Lead or support due diligence processes, including coordination with legal, financial, tax, and other external advisers.
  • Prepare investment papers, presentations, and recommendations for senior management and investment committees.
  • Support transaction structuring, negotiation, execution, and closing.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and assess strategic, operational, and financial value-creation opportunities.
  • Contribute to asset-management activities, including performance reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Evaluate and execute divestments, exits, and other liquidity events.
  • Track market developments and identify investment themes across the MENA region and global markets.
Candidate profile
  • At least five years of relevant professional experience.
  • Current or previous experience in investment banking is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated exposure to asset management, new investments, transaction execution, portfolio management, and/or exits.
  • Strong understanding of investment principles, corporate finance, valuation methodologies, financial statements, and capital markets.
  • Advanced financial modelling, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to assess investment opportunities and communicate clear, commercially sound recommendations.
  • Strong attention to detail, judgement, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory.
  • Arabic is an advantage.
  • CFA, ACCA, or another relevant professional qualification is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, or a related discipline.
  • Must be based in Abu Dhabi or willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi.
