Job Description

Job Summary:

EDECS is seeking a Senior Investment Associate to support the planning, management, and optimization of EDECS's investment portfolio across PPP concessions, M&A, and direct investments. The role will lead the evaluation of new investment opportunities, drive deal sourcing efforts, structure transactions, conduct financial and commercial due diligence, and manage transaction execution from initial assessment through closing. The ideal candidate is a seasoned investment professional with strong deal origination instincts, deep structuring capability, hands-on PPP experience, and the ability to communicate investment rationales clearly and persuasively to senior stakeholders and investment committees.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead deal sourcing efforts, proactively identifying and screening investment opportunities across PPP, M&A, and direct investment channels in line with EDECS's strategic priorities
  • Structure transactions across a range of formats - concessions, acquisitions, joint ventures, and capital raises, balancing risk allocation, return requirements, and stakeholder objectives
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models for potential investments, including scenario and sensitivity analysis, and review/guide models built by junior team members
  • Apply valuation methodologies including DCF, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions
  • Assess capital structure options and value drivers to support investment recommendations, including debt sizing and financing structure for PPP/project finance transactions
  • Lead due diligence workstreams, market research, industry analysis, financial statement analysis and coordinate diligence across functional areas
  • Identify key commercial, financial, legal, and operational risks, and synthesize findings into clear, decision-ready recommendations
  • Benchmark companies, markets, and competitive landscapes to inform and sharpen investment thesis development
  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of LBOs, debt restructuring, EBLs, and equity raises, and apply this to structuring recommendations
  • Prepare and take ownership of teasers, investment memos, committee materials, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Articulate investment rationale, key risks, mitigants, and value-creation plans with clarity and persuasion to senior leadership and investment committees
  • Lead coordination with external advisors (legal, financial, tax, commercial) and internal stakeholders throughout deal execution
  • Own transaction documentation workflows (data rooms, diligence trackers, term sheets, model versions, approvals) and ensure process discipline across live deals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business development, pipeline development, and strategic initiatives
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making by providing analytical insights, market perspectives, and investment recommendations
  • Maintain ongoing market and sector research to proactively inform investment strategy and pipeline development

Skills and Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance (CFA or equivalent professional qualification preferred)
  • Minimum 7 years of experience, including at least 3–4 years in private equity, investment banking, or PPP/infrastructure advisory, with a proven track record of sourcing and closing transactions
  • Direct experience structuring or executing PPP/concession transactions strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated deal origination ability, network, market awareness, and initiative in identifying opportunities ahead of formal processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to produce clear, decision-ready memos and presentations for investment committee-level audiences
  • Solid understanding of transaction processes, deal documentation, structuring mechanics, and advisor coordination
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior team members on modeling and analysis
  • Flexibility and resilience in resolving issues and adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced, multi-market environment.
