We are looking to hire a Senior IT Engineer who will be responsible for supporting and delivering IT and OT infrastructure for our client based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, one of the largest organizations in the region.
This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 12 months and is renewable based on performance.
The role sits within the Infrastructure Operations Department and reports directly to the Senior Manager Infrastructure Technology.
We are looking for a passionate Senior Engineer with strong expertise in IT/OT infrastructure, airport engineering systems, and enterprise technology standards. You should also have hands-on experience working with large industrial operational technology in complex operational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with engineering services and technology subject matter experts to ensure compliance with defined technology standards during design and implementation.
- Liaise with solution architects to ensure system designs meet functional and technical requirements.
- Work closely with cybersecurity teams to ensure infrastructure designs meet security, governance, and compliance requirements.
- Engage with project stakeholders to capture, validate, and translate requirements into technical designs and delivery scope.
- Support project planning activities, including review of phasing, logistics, and implementation schedules.
- Ensure solution designs align with enterprise architecture principles and approved standards.
- Review technical and project documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with approved designs.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, acceptance, and handover activities from vendors to operations teams.
- Participate in lessons-learned workshops and contribute to post-project reporting.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a related discipline.
- 710 years of overall IT/OT experience, with 57 years in a relevant infrastructure or engineering systems role.
- Strong experience in IT infrastructure, OT systems, and large industrial or aviation or airport environments.
- Hands-on experience in Networking (LAN/WAN), servers, and virtualization platforms
- SCADA, HMI, PLC integrations, and industrial protocols
- Cybersecurity controls, redundancy, failover planning, and risk mitigation
- IT/OT convergence and system integrations
- Technology standardization and migration initiatives
- Excellent stakeholder coordination, communication, and project support skills.
