We are seeking a versatile and technically sound IT Infrastructure Specialist to manage and optimize our technology foundation. This role is critical in ensuring the 24/7 availability of our core systemsfrom the data center and cloud environment to the Wi-Fi and network connectivity in the corporate office and retail stores, eCommerce and Marketplace.
The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, ensuring that our corporate offices, warehouses, and retail stores across the UAE operate on a secure, scalable, and high-performing infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Server & Cloud Administration:
- Hybrid Infrastructure: Manage and maintain on-premise servers and cloud instances (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
- Virtualization: Administer VMware or Hyper-V environments, ensuring optimal resource allocation and backup health.
- M365 Management: Act as the lead administrator for Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
Network & Connectivity:
- Retail Connectivity: Design and troubleshoot robust network solutions for retail stores, ensuring seamless SD-WAN, VPN, and Wi-Fi connectivity for POS and customer-facing apps.
- Security: Manage firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco Meraki, Juniper or Palo Alto), endpoint protection (EDR), and ensure network-level security across all locations.
- Infrastructure Monitoring: Implement and monitor system health using tools like PRTG, SolarWinds, or Nagios.
Project Support & Store Rollouts:
- Disaster Recovery: Maintain and regularly test the IT Disaster Recovery (DR) plan to ensure business continuity.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with local hardware vendors and service providers in the UAE to ensure SLAs are met.
- Store Openings: Lead the IT infrastructure setup for new store openings, coordinating with mall management and local ISPs for cabling, rack installation, and internet provisioning.
- Systems Infrastructure: Lead the IT infrastructure setup for newly build-up systems to be in place.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience:
- 713 years of experience in IT Infrastructure or Systems Administration.
- Prior experience in Retail, Fashion, or Consumer products, is preferred (not mandatory).
Technical Skills:
- Operating Systems: Advanced proficiency in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux environments.
- Networking: Solid understanding of VLANs, Routing, Switching, and Wireless LAN in a multi-site retail environment.
- Certifications: MCSE, CCNA, or Azure/AWS certifications are highly desirable.
- Hardware: Experience with server hardware (HP/Dell), storage (NAS/SAN), and structured cabling.
Soft Skills:
- Problem Solving: Ability to perform root-cause analysis for complex infrastructure outages.
- Urgency: Understanding the critical nature of retail Prime Time and responding to outages with high speed and precision.
UAE Specific Requirements:
- Regional Logistics Knowledge: Understanding of UAE/GCC customs requirements and free zone (e.g., JAFZA) logistics workflows is a plus.
- Language: Professional fluency in English (Mandatory).
