Senior IT Quality Assurance Engineer

We are hiring a Senior IT Quality Assurance Engineer for a well-known bank in Kuwait that will be responsible for ensuring software and system deliveries meet quality standards and business requirements through comprehensive testing before deployment and production release. The role focuses on test planning, execution, defect management, quality assurance, and supporting the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzing, understanding and converting business requirements into test plans, test cases and scenarios.
• Designing and executing manual test plans and test scripts for complete modules and/or workflows
• Execution of test cases and test scenarios during the SIT, Regression, and other kinds of testing.
• Review and document of test results for the URF's handled by QC team.
• Reporting defects, verification and validation of the test once issue is fixed and unit test is completed by DEV team.
• Prepare daily /weekly reports on test progress ensuring schedules and timelines are met within the team.
• Execute all levels of testing (Function, System, Integration, Smoke and Regression)
• Design and execute test cases using test management tool
• Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies
• Creating and maintaining reusable test cases repository.
• Design and develop automation scripts when needed
• Design and develop Performance testing scripts when needed
• Provide timely solutions when needed
• Apply quality engineering principles throughout the product lifecycle
• Provide & maintain proper documentation on testing done

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Quality Assurance experience for a senior-level role
• Experience with Retail, corporate banking or financial services environments for Payments, Mobile & Web Channels, Treasury, Trade Finance, Loans, and Card Management experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing cycles, and software testing practices
• Experience in SQL and database testing.
• Experience in Test Management Tools such as Jira and HP ALM.
• Knowledge of Java, UNIX, C#, or C++.
• Familiarity with Automation Testing tools.

Certification

• ISTQB certification.
