About The Role
As Senior IT Specialist, you are the technical backbone of Trufla's day-to-day IT operations. You are an experienced, well-rounded IT professional who can handle complex technical issues independently, support junior team members, and work confidently across the tools and platforms that power Trufla's infrastructure.
This role is hands-on — you'll be the go-to person for escalated support, system administration, and ensuring our endpoints, identities, and core services are running smoothly and securely. You bring enough experience to work with minimal supervision and enough initiative to proactively identify and fix problems before they become incidents.
Responsibilities
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues that go beyond Tier 1 support
- Perform onsite and remote diagnosis, analysis, and resolution of workstation, hardware, software, and network problems
- Install, configure, test, maintain, and monitor end-user workstations, peripherals, and telephony equipment
- Accurately document all hardware/software issues, resolutions, and asset changes
- Liaise with third-party vendors and support teams as needed for issue resolution
Systems & Platform Administration
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
- Manage user accounts, groups, licenses, and policies in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Support endpoint management and compliance using Microsoft Intune — device enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, and app deployment
- Maintain asset records and device lifecycle tracking in Snipe-IT
- Support and maintain OpenVPN and remote access configurations for staff
- Assist in managing cloud infrastructure components and connectivity (AWS, GCP, or Azure as applicable)
- Contribute to the maintenance of network infrastructure including switches, routers, and firewalls
Security & Compliance
- Apply and enforce endpoint security standards, access control policies, and data handling procedures
- Collaborate with the Country Manager on the implementation of SOC 2 compliance controls
- Monitor systems for security events, anomalies, and vulnerabilities; escalate findings appropriately
- Assist in executing and following up on penetration testing activities
- Contribute to security awareness efforts and internal training delivery
- Maintain familiarity with security frameworks including SOC 2, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls
Process & Knowledge Management
- Maintain up-to-date IT documentation including runbooks, knowledge base articles, and configuration records
- Mentor junior IT team members and contribute to their technical growth
- Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend critical support
- Assist in handling MAC (move, add, change) requests submitted by line managers
Qualifications
- College diploma or university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in an IT support or systems administration role
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 administration — Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID, Intune
- Experience with endpoint management tools (Microsoft Intune, Snipe-IT, or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of VPN technologies (OpenVPN or similar)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP (basic administration and access management)
- Understanding of IT security fundamentals and exposure to compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, CIS Controls)
- Sound knowledge of PC hardware, networking concepts, and mobile device management
- Experience with ticketing systems and ITSM processes
- Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides
