Senior IT Systems Engineer - Cairo, Egypt

Job Description

OHK develops innovative, game-changing web and mobile apps that transform markets and make differences in peoples lives. Working directly with OHK's senior management, the Senior IT Systems Engineer will lead a team of developers to scope, design, create, and maintain these applications. The Engineer's duties will include:

• Propose system architectures and designs that respond optimally to user requirements and use cases
• Recommend system solutions that optimize cost effectiveness by balancing custom development and purchase alternatives
• Guide procurement of needed software licenses from vendors, recommending purchases and testing and approving products
• Design database architecture and server scripting, and establish network connectivity and a diverse variety of APIs
• Guide the development process by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities
• Assist in the prioritization of feature development and rollout
• Advise on the strategic expansion of OHK's engineering team and support and cultivate developers through mentorship, coaching, and active direction
  
  

Job Requirements

• Required Skills: Strong experience in software architecture solutions analysis, design, and implementation; software development team leading; SQL development and SQL server administration; web development across a spectrum of technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Python, ASP, etc.); familiarity with Object-Oriented Design; software debugging and unit testing; written and spoken fluency in English.
• Desirable Skills: Strong verbal and written communication; technical leadership; familiarity with e-commerce and enterprise solutions
• Desirable Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science strongly preferred. Training/certification in project management or scrum management desirable
• Desirable Experience: Minimum ten years of professional experience in software development and project management, with at least eight years of technical team leading in an enterprise environment
