Job Title

Senior Software Engineer – WMBUS Legacy Platform (Java/WebLogic/Integration)

Role Summary

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-grade services within the WMBUS legacy ecosystem. You will work with Oracle WebLogic, Java 8, SOAP web services, and complex integration patterns, ensuring robust, secure, and maintainable solutions in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain SOAP-based web services using Java (Oracle JDK 8), Spring Framework, Apache Axis2, and CXF.
• Lead and support migration of legacy applications from WebLogic to OpenShift cloud platform.
• Modernize applications using Spring Boot, microservices patterns, and the Orchestra framework.
• Develop and maintain contract-first services (WSDL/XSD), domain mappers, and business logic adapters.
• Integrate with Oracle databases using Spring JDBC Template and stored procedures.
• Build and maintain mainframe integrations (CICS/MQ), and external system interfaces FileNet, MS Exchange.
• Author and maintain build scripts (Gradle, Groovy) and participate in CI/CD (Jenkins, Artifactory).
• Ensure code quality and coverage (SonarQube, JaCoCo) and participate in code reviews.
• Implement and maintain logging (Log4j2), monitoring, and request tracing (correlation IDs).
• Apply secure coding practices: TLS, SSO, entitlement services, XML schema validation, and secrets management using vault.
• Write and maintain unit, BDD, integration, and contract tests (JUnit, Spock, SoapUI).
