Senior Laboratory Analyst - Quality - Gianaclis Plant

Job Purpose

Ensures that the quality of the company's products meet local and global standards through conducting product analyses according to the analysis and sampling plan.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Ensures safety in all areas and activities in the laboratory.
2. Ensures that all raw and packaging material as well as all released finished products meet Heineken standards and required legal and quality specifications.
3. Supports the packaging team in sampling and empty bottle inspections.
4. Raises out-of-specification parameters to the Daily Control System team.
5. Follows up on the implementation of quality analysis at the main laboratory and satellite laboratory.
6. Supports the maintenance of laboratory instruments.
7. Updates the SAP system when the beer meets quality parameters and is ready to be emptied into cans and bottles.
8. Abides by all LabStar requirements: calibrations, log book , maintenance of instruments, chemical management, etc.
9. Conducts behavioral observation across the plant to ensure that food safety parameters are applied.
10. Maintains hygiene in accordance with the 5S standards as well as Hygiene Order Cleanliness (HOC) standards.
11. Supports the plant teams in applying Total Productive Management (TPM) standards.
12. Supports the plant teams in root cause analyses for any breakdowns or issues.
13. Applies safety standards in the laboratory by identifying hazardous chemicals and setting identification labels. Ensures that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is used before handling any hazardous substances.
14. Prepares standard operating procedures for product tasting methods and PPE use.
15. Handles daily sensory taste testing for products by preparing samples for certified testers. Ensures that the sensory evaluation results are sent to the Heineken global team.

Educational Background

Bachelor degree in a relevant scientific field as chemistry, biochemistry or biology

Years of Experience

1 - 3 years of experience in quality control laboratory

Qualifications & Other Requirements

Very Good Command of English Language

Excellent Microsoft Office Skills
