Senior Lead Estimator (MEP)

The Senior Lead Estimator (MEP) will lead the preparation of technical and commercial estimates for large-scale building and infrastructure projects. The role is responsible for managing the complete tendering process, developing competitive bid strategies, coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders, and ensuring timely submission of high-quality proposals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead MEP estimation and tendering activities for HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Electrical systems.
• Take full ownership of the tendering process from inquiry receipt to final submission.
• Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, contracts, and tender documents.
• Prepare cost estimates, quantity take-offs, value engineering proposals, and bid pricing strategies.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Planning, Commercial, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams.
• Manage and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identify technical, commercial, contractual, and execution risks.
• Participate in client meetings, tender clarifications, negotiations, and presentations.
• Present tender strategies, opportunities, risks, and recommendations to management.
• Ensure all submissions are accurate, competitive, and compliant with client requirements.

Technical Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• 13-15+ years of experience in MEP Estimation & Tendering for major building or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Electrical systems.
• Proficient in quantity take-offs, estimation software, value engineering, and cost planning.
• Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts and tendering procedures.
• GCC experience preferred.
