Position - Senior Legal Counsel

Reporting To - Senior Legal Manager

Job Purpose:

The Senior Legal Counsel provides practical, commercial legal advice, drafting and negotiating agreements, managing legal risk, and supporting the Director of Legal, Governance & Compliance on corporate matters and compliance.

Technical Skills

1. Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
2. Ability to review and negotiate commercial agreements independently.
3. Sound legal research and analytical capabilities.
4. Ability to identify legal risks and provide practical recommendations.
5. Experience managing external counsel where required.
6. Excellent written and verbal English.

Experience

1. 5–8 years post-qualification experience.
2. Experience within a reputable law firm and/or multinational company.
3. Strong exposure to commercial agreements and corporate advisory work.
4. Experience in retail, franchising or multinational businesses would be advantageous.
