Job Summary: The role will provide strategic legal advice, manages high-value contract negotiations, handles corporate litigation, and ensures regulatory compliance across business units. Lead legal projects, advise on employment/labor laws, and mitigate risks in commercial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Negotiation & Drafting: Review and negotiate high-value commercial agreements and complex legal contracts.
- Strategic Legal Advice: Provide timely, commercial-focused advice to internal stakeholders to resolve business issues.
- Compliance & Governance: Develop legal compliance policies and manage interactions with regulatory bodies.
- Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Manage legal disputes, including labor courts, arbitration, and external counsel management.
- Risk Management: Identify risks in corporate transactions and operational processes.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Typically 10+ years of legal experience, often requiring both private practice and in-house experience.
- Education: A qualified legal practitioner with a recognized law degree.
- Specialized Knowledge: Deep knowledge of corporate law, commercial transactions, and, depending on the role, specific areas like real estate, labor law, or regulatory compliance.
