Job Description
We are supporting one of the region's most strategically important infrastructure organisations, in the search for a Senior Legal Counsel to join its high-calibre legal team in Abu Dhabi. Why consider this opportunity
- Exceptional quality of work - advise on multi-billion-dollar infrastructure, utilities and energy projects.
- True strategic exposure - work directly with senior stakeholders on matters critical to national development.
- Rare in-house disputes focus - opportunities combining construction disputes and operational advisory work are exceptionally uncommon in the region.
- Outstanding team environment - join an experienced and collaborative legal function with an excellent reputation in the market.
- Long-term career platform - gain broad exposure across project development, operations, asset management and contentious matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on a broad range of construction, infrastructure and operational disputes.
- Manage external counsel and support dispute avoidance and resolution strategies.
- Provide legal support on project delivery, operations and asset management matters.
- Advise internal stakeholders on risk management, regulatory compliance and legal strategy.
- Deliver practical legal guidance across the lifecycle of major infrastructure and utilities assets.
Candidate Profile
We are keen to speak with lawyers who combine strong technical construction and disputes expertise with a commercial and solutions-oriented mindset.
The successful candidate is likely to possess:
- Common law qualification with approximately 5-8 years post-qualification experience.
- Strong construction disputes experience gained within a leading international law firm.
- Experience handling complex claims, arbitrations and dispute resolution processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A desire to move into a broader business-facing role within a market-leading organisation.
