Senior Legal Counsel / Head of Legal

About the Role

Our client is a fast-growing global technology company looking for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel / Head of Legal to support its regional business. This role will partner closely with senior management, providing practical legal advice across commercial, corporate, employment, compliance, and regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer, vendor, partnership, licensing, SaaS, and service agreements.
• Provide day-to-day legal advice to business teams on commercial and operational matters.
• Advise on corporate governance, business expansion, investments, and strategic projects.
• Support compliance with applicable laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Partner with HR on employment-related matters, including contracts, employee relations, and workplace policies.
• Provide guidance on data privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage external law firms and oversee legal disputes when required.
• Develop legal templates, policies, and best practices to improve business efficiency.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Product, Sales, Procurement, and Operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB/JD) and qualified to practice law.
• 6+ years of post-qualification legal experience.
• Experience gained in a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal team.
• Strong commercial contracting and negotiation experience.
• Experience supporting technology, internet, software, AI, cloud, fintech, or digital businesses is preferred.
• Good understanding of corporate, commercial, employment, and regulatory matters.
• Able to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
