Senior Legal Counsel

ROLE PROFILE

• Offer expert legal advice and support to the digital and ITteams, including marketplace, last-mile, engineering and digital marketing teams, on various legal matters, including intellectual property rights, contract negotiations and drafting.
• Manage legal matters related to corporate affairs, HR, legal contracts, and any legal issues for our tech hub in the India office while ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations and our internal policy.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage complex SaaS, IT, technology contracts, and ADtech contracts emphasizing risk mitigation to protect the company's interests.
• Manage ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Chief Digital Officer and provide legal support for the company's digital strategy plan
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to guide legal risks and opportunities to support the company's growth objectives
• Collaborate with external lawyers to provide legal advice to ensure our legal functions are comprehensive, legally binding, and aligned with our business objectives
• Review drafted contracts, agreements and notifications as required in a timely manner and ensure that they are compliant with internal standards and legal requirements
• Advise concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor'sdegree in Law
• 8+ years of legal experience
• 3 to 5 years experience as in-house or Law Firm with focus on Tech, Media & Telecommunications
• Intellectual property experienceincludingcopyright law, patents, trademarks, trade secrets, trade dress, or other types of intellectual property (IP)
• Time Management with managing various complex projects
• Excellent business communication and presentation
