Job Summary
Act as a key legal business partner to the Facilities Management and Energy Management operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The role requires strong commercial judgment, in-depth knowledge of local laws and regulations, and the ability to manage legal matters end-to-end, including contracts, compliance, dispute management, and day-to-day operational legal support.
The position will report functionally to the Legal Director at Headquarters for all legal matters and administratively to the Country Head for day-to-day operations, working in close collaboration with commercial, technical, finance, procurement, operations, and other support functions across KSA.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead legal support for facilities management, energy management, EPC-related, and service contracts.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize:
- Facilities Management contracts (hard and soft services)
- Energy performance and energy management agreements
- Long-term service agreements, SLAs, and O&M contracts
- Subcontracts, vendor, and supplier agreements
- Advise the business on risk allocation, liability caps, indemnities, penalties, and termination provisions.
- Provide legal support to tenders, RFPs, and bid submissions, ensuring commercial viability, alignment with the company's risk appetite, and proper flow-down of contractual obligations.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi laws and regulations, including:
- Companies Law
- Commercial and Civil Transactions
- Labor Law
- Local authority and sector-specific regulations
- Act as the legal compliance focal point for KSA operations.
- Support internal audits, compliance programs, and regulatory inspections.
- Coordinate with Headquarters on group policies and governance implementation.
- Handle commercial disputes, claims, and pre-litigation matters.
- Manage external counsel in KSA for litigation, arbitration, or regulatory matters.
- Support negotiation and settlement of disputes to avoid escalation and protect business continuity.
- Provide proactive legal input on claims prevention and risk mitigation.
- Provide timely, practical, and business-oriented legal advice to operations and management.
- Support contract administration, including variations, extensions, and renewals.
- Advise operational incidents, client escalations, and contractual non-performance issues.
- Prepare clear and concise legal reports for the Legal Director and senior management.
- Escalate key legal risks with practical recommendations and solution options.
- Act as a trusted legal advisor to country leadership while ensuring alignment with HQ legal strategy.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB minimum requirement)
- Strong experience practicing Saudi law is preferred
- Postgraduate qualification (LLM) is an advantage
Minimum Experience
- 1015 years of total legal experience
- Minimum 710 years in Facilities Management, Energy, Infrastructure, EPC, or related services
- Strong experience within the KSA market
- Prior in-house experience is highly preferred (law firm and in-house combination acceptable)
