We are working with a well-established, privately owned real estate development company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects. The business operates as a family-run organisation, offering a stable, professional environment with no corporate politics and clear decision-making. They are now seeking an experienced Senior Legal Manager / Head of Legal to lead the legal function and act as a trusted advisor to the business owner.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Owner, you will take full ownership of the legal department, managing a small, capable team of two and providing hands-on legal support across the full real estate development lifecycle.

This is a senior, high-trust role with real influence, ideal for someone who values autonomy, commercial decision-making, and working closely with business leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all legal matters relating to real estate development projects
• Act as principal legal advisor to the Owner on strategic and commercial decisions
• Oversee land acquisition, development agreements, construction contracts, and joint ventures
• Review, draft, and negotiate:
• Sale & purchase agreements
• Development and construction contracts
• Consultant and contractor agreements
• Leasing and asset management documentation
• Manage legal risk, compliance, and dispute resolution matters
• Coordinate with external legal counsel where required
• Lead, mentor, and develop a small internal legal team (2 people)

Key Requirements

• Extensive experience within a real estate development company (essential)
• Proven background handling developer-side legal matters
• Fluent Arabic speaker (written and spoken) essential
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to provide practical, business-focused legal advice
• Comfortable working in a hands-on role within a lean, decision-driven organisation
• Experience reporting directly to senior ownership or founders is highly desirable
