Role Summary
The Senior Legal Manager will be responsible for managing all legal matters of the organization, providing strategic legal advice, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and supporting business operations across multiple functions. The role involves close coordination with internal stakeholders, external lawyers, and government authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and vet legal documents including contracts, agreements, MOUs, leases, licenses, and tender documents
- Provide legal advice to management on corporate, commercial, civil, labor, and regulatory matters
- Manage and follow up on litigation, arbitration, and court cases in coordination with external counsels
- Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies for approvals, registrations, and compliance matters
- Support risk management initiatives and ensure legal compliance across business operations
- Coordinate legal documentation, maintain records, and prepare periodic legal reports for leadership
- Negotiate with external lawyers and manage legal costs effectively
- Represent the company in meetings, hearings, and discussions as required
Key Requirements
- Masters Degree
- Minimum 14 years of relevant legal experience, with at least 4 years in the GCC
- International work experience is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of commercial, civil, labor, and regulatory laws
- Experience handling litigation, arbitration, and regulatory matters
- Exposure to corporate legal documentation and business support activities
- Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Previous experience in International transactions, caproate, finance or commercial would be a great plus
