Job Title: Senior Legal Specialist
Job Location: Abu Dhabi
Job Summary:
Provide proactive legal advice and day-to-day legal support across a broad range of corporate, commercial, regulatory, and operational matters. The role is responsible for reviewing and drafting legal documents, advising on intellectual property, marketing and advertising compliance, commercial transactions, digital platforms, and regulatory obligations, while partnering with business functions to deliver practical, risk-based legal solutions aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day legal advice to business units on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and operational matters.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a wide range of commercial agreements, including service agreements, vendor contracts, partnership agreements, NDAs, licensing agreements, and procurement-related documents.
- Advise on intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, licensing, brand protection, and IP risk management.
- Review marketing, advertising, promotional campaigns, and external communications to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Draft and review website terms of use, privacy notices, cookie policies, mobile application terms, disclaimers, and other digital legal documentation.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions, guidance notes, and risk assessments on business initiatives and regulatory developments.
- Identify legal and regulatory risks and provide practical recommendations to mitigate exposure while supporting business objectives.
- Support regulatory compliance initiatives by monitoring legislative developments and advising stakeholders on emerging legal requirements.
- Liaise with external legal counsel, regulators, and governmental authorities where required.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and review of legal policies, procedures, templates, and governance frameworks.
- Support dispute prevention and assist in managing litigation, claims, investigations, and legal correspondence when required.
- Deliver legal awareness sessions and guidance to internal stakeholders to promote legal and compliance best practices.
- Maintain accurate legal records, contract repositories, and documentation in accordance with internal governance requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.); Master's Degree (LL.M.) is an advantage.
- Admission to practice law in a recognized jurisdiction is preferred.
- Professional legal certification or bar admission is desirable.
- 6+ years of post-qualification legal experience, preferably within a multinational organization, healthcare, or a reputable law firm.
- Experience in commercial contracts, intellectual property, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience supporting cross-functional business teams and providing practical legal advice.
