Job Summary
Presales Light Current Engineer, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the technical sales process by supporting sales teams, developing solutions, and ensuring that customer requirements are met. The focus will be on light current systems such as security, fire alarm, audio-visual, and building management systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise to the sales team during the pre-sales process.
- Assist in the identification and understanding of customer requirements.
- Conduct site surveys to assess customer needs and system requirements.
- Design and propose solutions that meet customer specifications and industry standards.
- Prepare technical proposals, including system architecture, specifications, and costing.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and translate these into technical solutions.
- Present technical information to customers and answer any queries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and customers.
- Create detailed design documentation, including schematics and technical specifications.
- Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals.
- Keep up-to-date records of customer interactions and proposals.
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure alignment of technical solutions with customer requirements.
- Collaborate with the project implementation team to ensure smooth transition from presales to project execution.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
Requirements
1 Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of experience in pre-sales engineering, particularly in light current systems.
e.g., security, fire alarm, audio-visual, building management, SC, Network).
2 Technical Skills
- AutoCAD (mandatory) Revit / BIM (preferred) MS Excel (advanced for costing & analysis) MS Visio (network diagrams) Basic understanding of IP networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, Switching)
- Proven track record of successful technical solution design and customer engagements.
- In-depth knowledge of light current systems and technologies.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
