Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Lighting Designer to join our team in Cairo. The ideal candidate will have proven lighting design experience, capable of handling challenging and prestigious projects from concept to completion, independently.

As a Senior Lighting Designer, you will be responsible for developing architectural and functional lighting design with strong attention to detail, aesthetics and sustainability. You will coordinate with the architects, interior designers, engineers and clients to generate innovative lighting solutions that meet project requirements and client expectations.

Responsibilities:

Develop and manage comprehensive lighting design, consisting of the preparation of:

• Luminaire schedules and technical specifications
• Project reports and presentations
• Lighting layout drawings and details
• Lighting control philosophies
• Lighting control schedules
• Lighting simulations and calculations
• Cost estimates

Responsibilities include also conducting site visits to assess and analyze project needs for effective lighting design and participation in design review meetings and workshops.

Requirements:

• 8 to 12 years of experience in lighting design consultancy
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Lighting Design, Interior Design / Architecture
• Proficiency in lighting design software tools (DIALux Evo, AGi32, or similar).
• Proficiency in design software tools (AutoCAD, Revit).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with 3D modeling and visualization tools.
• Strong portfolio in design of large-scale commercial and institutional projects preferably in the GCC Region.
• Strong background in principles of lighting design and sustainable and energy-efficient lighting solutions.
• Strong background in relevant international codes and standards.
• Required Skills: project management, communication skills, problem-solving, organizational skills, ability to work within teams, ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, fluent in English.
