The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Specialist to manage and support litigation matters, legal disputes, claims, court proceedings, regulatory disputes, evidence management, external counsel coordination, and litigation-risk mitigation.
The ideal candidate will combine strong legal knowledge with excellent case-management, analytical, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills to protect the organization's interests throughout the litigation lifecycle, from early dispute assessment and pre-litigation strategy through pleadings, hearings, settlement, judgment, appeal, and enforcement.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement litigation strategies aligned with organizational objectives and legal risk appetite.
- Manage a portfolio of litigation, disputes, claims, and contentious legal matters across relevant jurisdictions.
- Assess new disputes and determine appropriate litigation, settlement, negotiation, mediation, or other resolution strategies.
- Review claims, allegations, demands, notices, legal correspondence, and supporting documentation.
- Conduct detailed legal and factual analysis of disputed matters.
- Identify key legal issues, factual questions, evidentiary requirements, procedural risks, and potential outcomes.
- Coordinate pre-litigation assessments and early case-resolution strategies.
- Prepare litigation assessments, case summaries, risk analyses, and recommendations for management.
- Coordinate the preparation of pleadings, submissions, statements of case, responses, applications, witness materials, and other litigation documents.
- Review and organize documentary evidence required for litigation and dispute proceedings.
- Develop case chronologies, factual matrices, issue lists, evidence indexes, and litigation trackers.
- Coordinate discovery, disclosure, document production, and evidence-management activities where applicable.
- Identify relevant witnesses, experts, documents, contracts, communications, and other sources of evidence.
- Support witness preparation and coordinate witness interviews where appropriate.
- Work with internal stakeholders to gather accurate facts and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with external litigation counsel, law firms, barristers, advocates, experts, investigators, and other legal service providers.
- Define external counsel instructions, scope of work, deliverables, timelines, and reporting expectations.
- Monitor external counsel performance, legal strategy, budgets, and case progress.
- Review legal opinions, pleadings, submissions, expert reports, and other external counsel work products.
- Ensure litigation matters are managed consistently with approved legal strategies and organizational objectives.
- Represent or support the organization in court proceedings, hearings, tribunals, arbitration-related proceedings, and other formal dispute forums where appropriate.
- Coordinate hearing preparation, including evidence, submissions, witness arrangements, legal authorities, and procedural requirements.
- Monitor court orders, procedural deadlines, filing requirements, hearing dates, and other critical milestones.
- Maintain comprehensive litigation calendars and ensure all deadlines are appropriately tracked.
- Assess litigation exposure, potential damages, penalties, costs, injunctions, and other legal consequences.
- Develop litigation budgets, cost estimates, financial forecasts, and matter-specific spending plans.
- Monitor external legal fees and litigation expenses against approved budgets.
- Review invoices from external counsel and legal service providers for accuracy and appropriate allocation.
- Provide management with regular updates on case status, financial exposure, risks, strategy, and expected outcomes.
- Develop litigation dashboards and reports covering case volumes, status, exposure, costs, outcomes, and key risks.
- Conduct legal research relating to substantive law, procedural requirements, case law, regulations, and relevant judicial decisions.
- Monitor changes in legislation, regulations, court procedures, and legal developments that may affect active or potential disputes.
- Identify legal precedents and authorities relevant to litigation strategy and case positions.
- Support the preparation of settlement proposals, without-prejudice negotiations, mediation strategies, and resolution recommendations.
- Evaluate settlement opportunities based on legal merits, financial exposure, commercial considerations, reputational risk, and strategic objectives.
- Coordinate settlement documentation, releases, agreements, payment arrangements, and implementation requirements.
- Monitor judgments, orders, settlements, undertakings, and other dispute-resolution outcomes to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate enforcement of judgments, settlements, awards, and other legally binding outcomes where required.
- Manage appeals, review proceedings, and post-judgment matters in coordination with external counsel.
- Identify recurring causes of litigation and recommend preventive legal, contractual, operational, or process improvements.
- Work with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Commercial, Procurement, and Operations teams to reduce future dispute exposure.
- Review contracts, policies, procedures, and business practices to identify provisions or practices that may increase litigation risk.
- Support contract-dispute analysis involving suppliers, customers, partners, employees, contractors, and other counterparties.
- Assist with employment-related litigation and contentious employment matters in coordination with specialist employment counsel where applicable.

The successful candidate should have strong experience in litigation, dispute resolution, contentious legal matters, legal case management, commercial disputes, regulatory disputes, or corporate legal services, preferably within a multinational, commercial, financial, technology, construction, infrastructure, real estate, or professional-services environment.
The candidate should demonstrate:
- Strong knowledge of litigation principles, procedures, and dispute-management practices.
- Proven experience managing or supporting complex litigation and contentious legal matters.
- Strong understanding of civil, commercial, corporate, contractual, and regulatory disputes.
