Job Description
The Sustainability Office in Gardens by the Bay (GB) is tasked to fulfil GB's mission of becoming a model for sustainable development and conservation.
As a key member of the Sustainability Office which drives Environmental, Social and Economic Sustainability in GB, you will be involved in the planning and implementation of projects to achieve the objectives and goals of the Singapore Green Plan 2030, and GB's Sustainability initiatives.
You will oversee GB's biodiversity conservation and promotion portfolio, and plan and lead efforts to further GB's biodiversity efforts (e.g. fauna surveys) with our partners, research entities, nature groups and GB's horticultural departments. You will be responsible to analyse biodiversity survey data, put up regular reports to GB Management, and work with GB's horticultural departments on boosting biodiversity in GB.
Your role will also involve developing and monitoring agreed carbon reduction pathways and targets towards Net Zero, and reporting on GB's progress in supporting the national sustainability agenda as mapped out in the Singapore Green Plan 2030. The Sustainability Office oversees GB's sustainability initiatives in areas such as water conservation, waste management, and energy efficiency. Your role will involve formulating plans in these areas together with other GB departments, and showcasing such GB's sustainability efforts to our local and overseas visitors at various platforms.
